QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP

Any person in accordance with the principles and policies of the association may become a member with by submission of the Abbott Institute membership form, paying his/her membership fee in advance of the active membership year established by the Board of Directors.  All applications must be accepted by the Board of Directors.  Such person shall become a member by agreeing to abide by the Mission Statement, and policies of the Institute and the decisions of the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors have the right to establish and revise the categories of membership as it may deem desirable from time to time, and issue appropriate certificates of membership.

REMOVAL OF MEMBERS

The Board of Directors, upon satisfactory evidence that a member of the Institute is guilty of conduct not in accordance with the Mission Statement, principles, aims and purpose of the Institute as set forth in the by-laws as defined by the Board of Directors; or is guilty of conduct inimical to the best interests of the Institute; the organization may order suspension, expulsion or other disciplinary action against such member.
